Live Auction Details

I will bring bidding numbers for the residents to use or the community's activity director can assist the residents in creating their own bidding numbers to use for the auction. This can be a fun and engaging activity to get them excited and ready for the live auction experience activity.

I will arrive 45 minutes before the auction to set up the auction items so the residents have plenty of time to see all the items being sold. The auction will feature a total of 20 items : 10 bigger items provided by me and 10 generously contributed by the community. Each item will be walked around by my assistant so each resident can touch the blankets, see up close what is in the snack basket that I am selling. This variety will ensure a fun and engaging live auction experience lasting approximately one hour. To add to the auction atmosphere I will also provide bakery donuts for all the attendees to enjoy.

Each resident will receive $50.00 in monopoly money to spend during the auction with their bidding number held high as they bid on the treasure they would like to make their own. Everyone has the opportunity to engage in the excitement of the live auction experience, if they choose to spend their free monopoly money. Any monopoly money not spent will be collected at the end of the auction, so bid and get something for free with the money handed out. Caregivers and activity directors are encouraged to help the residents that may need help in the bidding process. I have a nice calm chant that everyone will understand what I am selling and for how much.

I have added a list of suggested items on my brochure to help with shopping for the activity.
